DERMA et al. was founded by three women of colour with qualifications in the fields of Human Physiology, Genetics, and Chemical Biology. As women in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), it was important for them to research skin biology and determine the best ways to treat and protect the skin. DERMA et al. is an amalgamation of their love for skincare, research, science, diversity, and inclusivity. DERMA et al.  formulate and manufacture conscientious skincare. Their products are strongly backed by science to effectively treat skin concerns commonly experienced by people of colour. DERMA et al.  carefully contemplated, researched, and selected ingredients that are proven to be safe for darker skin tones. They have incorporated these ingredients into their products at their clinically validated concentrations to ensure their efficacy while minimising any sensitivity. Furthermore, their multi-active formulations include effective, high-quality ingredients that work together synergistically to treat and protect the skin.
