I took me a while to review this product and being on month 3 I think I’ve given it a fair shot. I really wanted to love this product (I really, really did) – I bought it for the brand, it’s claims, and so many other things and in my view, this just really hasn’t lived up to it’s claims.
First, it was my first time using a serum as part of my eyecare regime. The dropper and bottle don’t work. The texture is very runny (almost watery), so when you dispense a drop, you lose a couple of drops in between. This means you are hurried to apply the product and being clumsy like me, spill half the bottle which brought me to tears (literally – my husband found me teary-eyed on the floor). It’s quite disheartening losing product because you hurry to get it on your eye. Nonetheless, tears aside.
Second, I am a huge fan of vitamin C and this is a staple in my skincare antioxidant am-routine and having experienced the benefits, had high hopes for this serum. Sadly, this just did not live up to it. I did not experience any help with puffiness or dark circles and was hoping for a slightly brighter appearance. As someone who is prone to dehydration I also found that this didn’t help in that area (although not claimed by the manufacturer, that was my own expectation) and did not do much to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The only thing I would say did work for me was the antioxidant protection, purely because I know that vitamin C is effective for this purpose. Just on personal preference, this isn’t something I would necessarily repurchase but I do know the IS Clinical range has other great products that I look forward to trying.
