Salicylic acid peels are a bit stronger and penetrate a little deeper for more dramatic results. Salicylic acid is from the beta-hydroxy acid family, related to phenolic acids. The Beta Peel treatment is used for its effect on the lipid found in the corneum of the skin. This self-neutralising formulation is also effective in comedones (black and whiteheads) and congestion. The treatment will, especially with the first few treatments, cause some dryness of skin and flaking. The Lamelle Beta Peel is a treatment for acne, some hyperpigmentation and ageing improvements will be noticed.

With the normal beta peel, you’ll experience a slight tingling on the skin for the three minutes it’s left on. And afterward, it may be a little red and sensitive, but this goes away in minutes. Your therapist might even apply a second or third layer of the treatment.

I really didn’t see much impact from the first treatment, only my nose peeled off a little bit but the rest of the face didn’t. I am going for another treatment which has been scheduled before a month so I am still to see the results.
