PHA Hyaluronic Peel is a gentle, resurfacing treatment combining polyhydroxy acid (PHA), Proteolytic Enzymes and hyaluronic acid. This is an extremely safe treatment to use on skins that are hypersensitive to glycolic or lactic acids.

How to use

How to use

Do not apply more than three times a week.

• After cleansing, apply PHA Hyaluronic Peel to a cotton pad and wipe across the face and neck.
• Avoid the eye area and contact with eyes.
• Leave on for 5-10 minutes, then wash off. This is NOT a leave-on product. Should your skin NOT be sensitive, the product can be left on.
• Continue with additional skin treatments as needed.

If persistent irritation occurs, discontinue use and rinse off with water.

This product contains acids that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product. Use at night preferably.

PHA – Gluconolactone/Lactobionic Acid

• Effective exfoliant, gentler than AHA’s and safer in hypersensitive skin that has an allergy to hydroxy acids.
• Its larger molecular size allows for slower skin penetration.
• Improves the epidermal barrier function to irritants.
• TEWL is significantly lower in comparison to glycolic acid and lactic acid in stress testing.
• It is non-toxic, non-irritating and non-sensitising – skin redness is significantly lower after 24 hours when compared to glycolic acid.
• Effective in the treatment of acne (14% GDL as effective as 5% Benzoyl Peroxide in reducing the number of acne inflamed lesions).

Proteolytic Enzymes

• Skin desquamation is driven by natural enzyme activity. As we age, the natural desquamation processes slow down because of pH changes and enzyme activity decline
• Enzyme used in PHA Hyaluronic Peel exhibits a similar enzymatic profile to endogenous Cathepsin D. It maintains proteolytic activity at the stratum corneum (pH of 3.5 – 4.5). It therefore exfoliates the skin in a very controlled and non-irritating manner.
