Apply several times a day when exposed to the sun. Apply evenly and liberally before exposure (a smaller amount of product reduces the level of photoprotection). I purchased this sunblock as I like to exercise outdoors and I apply this to my arms, and all other exposed areas. I like the spray applicator and the texture of the lotion is great as it goes in quickly. Great value and I will definitely recommend this product and a must for everyday sun protection
