Polyglutamic acid (PGA), a natural polymer obtained via a biotechnical process through the fermentation of soybeans, is characterized by its unusual effect as a humectant in the skin. Thanks to these water-binding properties, PGA can store up to four times more moisture than hyaluronic acid, as proven in scientific studies.
